Cover Reveal - The Thirteenth Hour by Trudie Skies
So far, it has been a month of reveals and spotlights this month hasn't it? However, this is one that I have particularly been looking forward to as it is the Cover Reveal for the upcoming gaslamp fantasy by Trudie Skies called The Thirteenth Hour.
Now ever since I had the fortune to be able to reveal the artwork for the map for this book with Rowena at Beneath a Thousand Skies, I have been waiting in anticipation for the cover reveal, which is done by Storytellers on Tour
Before we get to the cover itself, here is some information about the book, and following the cover reveal I will also repost that fabulous piece of mapistry.
Cruel gods rule the steam-powered city of Chime, demanding worship and tribute from their mortal subjects. Kayl lost her faith in them long ago, and now seeks to protect vulnerable and downtrodden mortals from their gods’ whims. But when Kayl discovers powers that she didn’t know she had—and destroys a mortal’s soul by accident—she becomes Chime’s most wanted.
Quen’s job was to pursue sinners, until the visions started. Haunted by foreboding images of his beloved city’s destruction, Quen hunts soul-sucking creatures made of aether who prey on its citizens—and Kayl is his number one target.
To ensure Chime’s future, Kayl and Quen must discover the truth of Kayl’s divine abilities before the gods take matters into their own hands.
For a city that bows to cruel gods, it’ll take godless heathens to save it.
Well there you go! I hope that the premise of the book has whetted your whistle for the actual cover. I know it has mine and it is already on my TBR.
So, no more waiting
Got to say, this has me intrigued just that little bit more. I love the deepness of the blue colour scheme against that iridescent clock face which kind of reminds me of the moon.
Yep, definitely on the must read lost now, especially as I am on a bit of a gaslamp fantasy kick right now.
However, I also promised you the map didn't
